How to Book More Clients & Sell More Programs

Back when we used to run our Mastermind, you know what upset us the most when onboarding a new client?

That moment they told us one of two things:

“I paid $5k for someone to create my website for me…”
or
“Yeah, I built this website myself.”

Regardless of which option it was, we would brace ourselves for the impact…

Because when they shared the URL with us so we could take a look… this was our face:

Okay, maybe a little harsh. But seriously, the website they either just burned $5k on (or spent 254 days patching together themselves) just wasn’t going to cut it.

Nope, not even the ones that looked pretty with nice fonts and pretty colours. No wonder these practitioners weren’t ringing in the bookings and sales…

Because the copy, the WORDS on the pages were a D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R

No persuasive copy hacks applied.

Zero use of “ideal client’s own words”...

Not one bit of “showing the transformation”.

And don’t even get us started on websites that had no clear niche, not one photo of the practitioner to be seen and had designs stuck in early 2000s!

While you might think we are being dramatic, let me tell you this:

It crushed our marketer souls… 

Why Are Words So Important?

You see, any old hack can whip up a lovely looking website from a template. Heck, we’ve done it multiple times for our business, across many different website builders.

But what makes a website work is the words. The copy. 

You want the words on your website to RESONATE with your ideal client so much, that she feels like you've got a camera into her life. And she won’t want to book in with anyone else!

And you want the words on your page (the “copy”) to move the reader along like a… well, like something that moves smoothly… so that by the time she gets to the button to book in or buy, she’s already got her credit card in her hand!

And this isn’t “manipulation” at all. No, dear… what we are doing here on the website and in our entire wellness business is simply:

“Persuading the client towards HEALTH”!

It’s the power of persuasion used for good! Just like this….

Wanna Know Some Copy Magic Tricks We Use All The Time?!

We have a LOT of tricks in our magic kit when it comes to copywriting. 

Learned them over many years at Wordwarts (it’s like Hogwarts, but for marketers).

And there are some of these “copy hacks” that we are permitted to teach to Word-Muggles. So here are just two of nearly 200 that we can show you the formulas for:

1. If/Then Statements:

Magical Copy Formula = IF (who they are & what they want) --> THEN (the next step/what you want them to do)

eg "IF you're a woman struggling to fall pregnant, and you want natural ways to increase your fertility, THEN check out my latest blog post"

eg "IF you are 50+ and looking for ways to get fit, THEN register for my free workshop on xyz"

2. So You Can Statements:

These statements help your reader connect the dots between what they want and the solution you have. It links a 'feature' of your service or program with a 'benefit' to them.

Magical Copy Formula =  "(feature) SO YOU CAN (benefit)"

eg "My Signature Program includes weekly coaching calls (feature) SO YOU CAN feel supported and be held accountable (benefit)"

eg "We will organise comprehensive fertility testing (that's the feature of your program/service) SO YOU CAN know exactly what areas need to be addressed to improve your fertility (that is the benefit to them)"

And for those super advanced (possibly even wizard-level) Word-Muggles, you can combine these for even greater impact:

eg "If you're a woman struggling to fall pregnant, and you want natural ways to increase your fertility, then book in for our comprehensive Fertility Testing Package. It includes all the tests you need to uncover what is stopping you from conceiving, so you can have a clear plan of what to do!”

Expecto Patronum, baby! 

But What About Design? 

Well yes, of course the design and look of your website is also VERY important. It’s 2024, that’s pretty much a given these days.

If your site is ugly, or looks like it hasn’t changed since 1999, then people will gasp and click away.

You just want to spend either your time (or money) on making sure the copy is on point.

Because it’s the thing that will get you the bookings, sales and that impact you so desire!
